this is a GREAT idea!!!!!
i had been looking for a plugin for winamp or wmp9 and found this
great idea
the problem is the sound quality...completely un-listenable
way saturated and to hot---the studio edition ersion 0.4.4 build 0
however the desktop version version 1.4.1 sounds fine
i have ffd show installed along with a fancy sound card (m-audio omni I/O)-i mention this only for system configuration
also have an on board sound card (nvidia card that everything is routed through)
I have tried every conceivable configuration to no avail
turned off ffd show codecs turned them on again tried different settings
tried turning off the EQ on studio
tried different volume configurations
tried the fancy sound card
reboot
reinstall
NOTHING clears up the sound
but....Xamp desktop sounds fine
as does every other audio format and device
I can stream with firefox and IE6
but studio is great...just bad sound quality
any ideas?----
ya--i know stick with desktop for now
i have both installed can't remember the order
think i tried studio first-both are installed currently
if you can't help me...perhaps this is a bug someone else has discovered
perhaps it can be fixed in the next release
mabey i am missing something
i have searched everywhere for suggestions...i may be the only one
let me know
great concept...great prog
ps. one more request
love to be able to copy song/artist text from the main window in either version....even export tune notify to a .txt file or just be able to copy paste without having to go to the registry
streaming through a browser window you can copy the song info
i save this on a wish/favourites list in a .txt file
thanks for all the hard work
keep fighting the good fight
let me know

I having sort of the same issue. I downloaded at work yesterday and installed on my laptop and it worked great! Terrific program.
That night I downloaded at home and installed. When I connected, the audio was horrible! Impossible to listen too.
What's interesting is that I also have onboard sound. Everything I use with that machine sounds fine though including XaMp Desktop. |

Hi M0mo,
How can I export the data?
Let me know what you need and I'll send it to you. |

Never mind. My problem has been fixed. I finally had a chance to get out and get a sound card. I disabled my onboard sound chip and installed the card and now XaMp studio works fine. Thanks. |

Hi Momo,
To the best of my recollection of the motherboard and searching online, I think it's a Realtek ALC850. I will check for sure when I get home tonight. |

Horrible sound. I love Xamp desktop but after the latest forced windoze update and WMP 11 update I'm forced to move to studi, whhich I have to admit is VERY cool. But I also have totally unbearable distortion and NO effect from volume control within studio. It's like studio is driving it at too high a volume and won't let you turn it dwon. i also am runing an Nvidia chipset with nForce audio drivers. Does this help? |

there seems to be a problem with floating-point channels and nForce audio driver.
give the Realtek driver a try. _________________ help support XaMp - paypal (no cc): xampd at imomo.net
