I just installed the public beta here at work. I'm getting the following error with XaMp Studio edition:

"could not retrieve config from XaMp server! please check network connection or forums for more information."

I've tried the regular Desktop and while I can get channel listings the streams never actually start. Is there something in particular that I might look for to correct this?

XMRO through media player works acceptably.

Thanks.

XaMp studio/desktop requires access to the internet, so if you have a firewall, you must allow XaMp to communicate

does your work require a proxy? if so, XaMp studio does not support proxies yet.

XaMp desktop supports proxies if you set it up that way. have you tried the button that disables udp for windows media player?

what version of windows media player is installed?

thanks

I'm running WMP 11 for Windows XP. I haven't noticed any proxy settings in the browser settings but I'll have a look and try Desktop again.

I'll also check the UDP settings.

Thanks m0mo
